Claire Masser – Mobile Massage Therapist
Sports massage is designed to support injury recovery, improve movement and address postural issues using a combination of advanced techniques tailored to your individual needs.
Sports massage is a more focused treatment designed to support injury recovery, rehabilitation and postural improvement.
Alongside massage techniques, I may use a combination of additional methods such as muscle energy techniques, assisted stretching, dry needling, cupping or kinesiology taping where appropriate. I also assess range of movement and may make positional adjustments to improve comfort and effectiveness during treatment.
Your first visit includes a full assessment to understand your symptoms, movement patterns and areas of concern. This assessment is provided at no extra cost and does not take time away from your treatment time.
As a fully qualified Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist with extensive experience, I tailor every session to your individual needs. Some conditions may require more than one treatment, and I will always advise you honestly on what is likely to help.
Sports massage can help with a wide range of injury-related and postural issues, including:
• Muscle strains and minor injuries
• Neck and shoulder pain
• Back pain and postural tension
• Sports-related injuries
• Repetitive strain injuries
• Limited movement or joint stiffness
• Muscle imbalances and postural problems
• Recovery after physical activity or injury
• Ongoing tightness affecting movement or performance
Sports massage works by identifying the underlying causes of pain, tension or restricted movement, rather than simply treating symptoms.
Your treatment may begin with a brief movement and posture assessment to understand how your body is functioning and where imbalances may be contributing to discomfort.
Depending on your needs, I may use a combination of techniques such as targeted massage, muscle energy techniques, assisted stretching or positional adjustments to improve movement and reduce tension.
Where appropriate, additional methods such as dry needling, cupping or kinesiology taping may also be used to support recovery and improve results.
When I arrive, we’ll begin with a short conversation about how you’re feeling and what you’d like to get from your session. This helps me tailor the treatment to suit your needs.
I’ll then set up my professional massage couch and ensure you’re comfortable before starting. During the massage, I may use a combination of techniques depending on what your body needs — from relaxing strokes to deeper work on areas of tension.
You’re always in control of the pressure and techniques used, and I encourage feedback throughout the session so we can adjust as needed.
At the end of the session, I’ll offer any helpful aftercare advice to support your recovery or relaxation.

• Desk workers with ongoing neck, shoulder or back tension
• Active individuals or athletes
• Anyone experiencing restricted movement or recurring muscular issues

Most clients simply choose the length of time that suits their needs, and I tailor the sports massage treatment using the most appropriate techniques during your session.
You can choose from:
• 30 minutes — ideal for focusing on one specific injury or problem area
• 60 minutes — suitable for treating one or two areas and improving movement
• 90 minutes — extended time for more complex injuries or postural issues
Booking is simple — just choose a time that suits you, and I will tailor the treatment to your needs on the day.
If you’re unsure what duration to choose, I’m always happy to offer guidance.
