Claire Masser – Mobile Massage Therapist
Swedish massage techniques form the foundation of many treatments, helping relieve tension, improve circulation and promote relaxation — all tailored to your individual needs.
Swedish massage techniques are often used as the foundation for many treatments I provide. Most clients simply book a time slot, and I tailor the massage using a combination of techniques depending on what your body needs on the day.
This might include relaxation techniques, deeper work on tight muscles, or the use of additional methods such as cupping or dry needling where appropriate.
Swedish massage techniques can be helpful for a wide range of common issues, including:
• General muscle tension
• Neck and shoulder stiffness
• Back discomfort
• Stress and anxiety
• Headaches linked to muscle tension
• Poor circulation
• Feeling tired or run down
• Supporting recovery from everyday physical strain
When I arrive, we’ll begin with a short conversation about how you’re feeling and what you’d like to get from your session. This helps me tailor the treatment to suit your needs.
I’ll then set up my professional massage couch and ensure you’re comfortable before starting. During the massage, I may use a combination of techniques depending on what your body needs — from relaxing strokes to deeper work on areas of tension.
You’re always in control of the pressure and techniques used, and I encourage feedback throughout the session so we can adjust as needed.
At the end of the session, I’ll offer any helpful aftercare advice to support your recovery or relaxation.
Swedish massage is suitable for a wide range of people and is often a good starting point if you’re new to massage.
It may be particularly suitable for:
• People experiencing everyday muscle tension
• Those feeling stressed, overwhelmed or fatigued
• Clients looking for relaxation and general wellbeing
• People returning to massage after a break
• Elderly clients who would benefit from gentle, supportive care
• Anyone unsure which massage type to choose
Because I tailor each session to your needs, Swedish massage techniques are often combined with other approaches where appropriate.
Most clients simply choose the length of time that suits their needs, and I tailor the treatment using the most appropriate techniques during your session.
You can choose from:
• 30 minutes — ideal for focusing on one specific area
• 60 minutes — suitable for a full-body massage or multiple areas
• 90 minutes — extended time for deeper work or full relaxation
Booking is simple — just choose a time that suits you, and I will tailor the treatment to your needs on the day.
If you’re unsure what duration to choose, I’m always happy to offer guidance.
